My fondness for my own childhood photographs is why I introduced children’s photography sessions into my Melbourne studio.

Growing up, my Mum wasn’t a fan of the traditional school photographs. Mum, an avid photographer herself, thought the school photos were just too boring and far too generic for her children. So, every year my Mum would trot me along to a professional photography studio to sit for my own children’s portrait.

This tradition lasted 9 years and while it may seem excessive to some, I’m eternally grateful for those photos. I have a tattered old shoe box stuffed with photos from my childhood and I love reminiscing over my early childhood years.

And they have proven to be extremely popular.

My Approach

Our children grow up so fast, right before our eyes! These portraits are designed specifically for children and are the perfect opportunity to document your child’s individual personality, unique quirks and ever-changing features over the years.

Whether your child is 2 years old or 12 years old, I find so much joy photographing children of all ages. Each session is fun filled and relaxed and my goal is to capture your child’s genuine emotions, unique character and candid expressions.

All children’s photography sessions are held in my studio in Clyde North, in Melbourne’s southeast and last between 30 – 60 minutes.

Parents, you are welcome to bring along your child’s favourite toy or a special item to include in their photography shoot.

I offer a range of Tutu du Monde and Dollcake dresses for the girls to wear or your children can simply wear their favourite outfit. I also have a small selection of flower crowns and cute hats to choose from.

Children’s photography sessions can include siblings and are suitable for up to 3 children.

The purpose for children’s photography is to capture unique portraits that show your child’s character and individuality at the different stages throughout their life.

Your Life in pictures

Just like my shoebox filled with childhood photographs, these portraits will become a treasured keepsake for your child. In years to come, your child will look back and remember the time they were mad over Lego, crazy about cricket or were obsessed with sparkly unicorns.

These are the moments worth capturing, for you, for your children, for now and for the future.

All photography collections include the digital files as well as beautiful fine art prints. I also offer a range of professionally crafted albums and wall art.

A Visual Legacy

If you aren’t fond of the generic school photographs as a lasting memory of your child’s school years, then these children’s photography sessions are ideal.

These fun, unique and individual portraits are a documentation of each stage of your child’s journey into the teen years.

Each year, as your child changes and grows, you can add another photograph to your children’s legacy.

And one day, just like me, your child will flip through their photo album and feel nostalgic about their early childhood days.
